If you don’t know what PTFE O rings, then you might not know what PTFE is. PTFE is a synthetic polymer. It is derived from the chemical bonding of carbon and fluoride. PTFE is better known as Teflon, which is the main material that provides nonstick surfaces. Teflon is just one of the brand names PTFE is referred to. There is also, Daikin Polyflon, Fluon, and Dyneon, so they are all the same substance but different names depending on who is speaking. In order for PTFE to be nonreactive, water resistant, and have low friction, the temperature range should be -1,000F to 4,000F.
