Prince William’s hair loss has long been the subject of discussion, and Vanity Fair has now re-sparked the discussion. The magazine recently came under fire when it featured an allegedly photoshopped pictures of the Prince with the bald spot filled in. Vanity Fair has denied the claim.

“Upon comparison it is undeniable that Vanity Fair has Photoshopped a little more hair onto that head. Le scandal!” wrote Racked, the website that first spotted the allegedly altered image.

Racked also posted the original picture of Prince William and his happy family that was taken from their trip to Sydney’s Taronga Zoo back in April, which showed a Prince who had a noticeably less full head of hair.

“We did not Photoshop the cover to make Prince William appear to have more hair,” said a Vanity Fair rep in a statement. “We gave the image a poster-like palette. We added some shadow to Prince William to make the white type more legible, and to place more emphasis on Prince George.”

HollywoodLife.com reached out to a photo expert, who said “They definitely added some hair to the top of Prince William’s head. They could have used the clone tool, which allows you to take part of the image and fill it in somewhere else.”

Regardless of what others think, it’s clear that the little Royal family is quite happy. Around the same time that the picture was taken, the Duchess of Cambridge playfully jabbed at the Prince’s balding head.

“The prince was interested in the alpaca, and as I showed it to them, the princess said he should put it on his head,” said Lyn Crejan, the exhibitor of the Sydney Royal Easter Show. “[Kate Middleton] said, ‘You need it more than me,’ and pointed to his head, and he laughed.”
