If you have a vehicle, you need to have auto insurance for it. One of the best ways to get a good rate for your auto insurance is to find an affordable insurance broker and to get quotes through that broker. Getting affordable quotes allows you to comparison shop between several different companies that offer auto insurance. When you get your quotes, you want to know what your accurate insurance payment would be for the various companies that offer the insurance.
If you are looking for accidental death benefit auto insurance, this is available from many insurance companies. Many of the affordable auto insurance companies are the large national companies that constantly market to the public. Those companies deal in such big volumes that they can afford to offer reasonable rates. Before you choose your auto insurance policy, think about whether you want only the bare minimum that is required by state law or you want to add extra coverage onto your policy. Some states have very low minimum requirements as their state laws, and this can mean that the policy won’t cover you completely if there are a lot of bills that come in as the result of an accident.
While premium prices have continued to go up over the last five years, customer satisfaction ratings with their auto insurance have reached all-time highs, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Auto Insurance Study released June 20.
According to an insurancenewsnet.com article, the J.D. Power study measures customer satisfaction across five categories: interaction, price, policy offerings, billing and payment and claims.
The study revealed that overall satisfaction with auto insurance providers grew by 16 points to 810 this year, the highest increase since the study began annually measuring customer opinion in 2000, insurancenewsnet.com reports.
Jeremy Bowler, senior director of J.D. Power’s insurance practice, told insurancenewsnet.com that the satisfaction ratings have increased despite higher premiums as a result of several factors.
“A premium increase often triggers shopping behavior, but we’re seeing fewer people shopping,” Bowler said. “This indicates that insurers are more effectively communicating with their customers, making them aware of the premium increases when they occur and why they’re necessary, and demonstrating the value of their coverage.”
According to the J.D. Power study, overall satisfaction rating for car insurance companies was highest among a group called “Loyal Advice Seekers,” customers who are least likely to both shop for or switch to alternate providers due to their rapport with their insurance agents, according to an insurancenetworking.com article. Conversely, satisfaction was lowest among the “Unengaged” customer group, who don’t have a one-on-one relationship with their agents.
The J.D. Power auto insurance study surveyed 44,661 auto insurance customers this year throughout the months of March and April.
