If you have experienced back pain and leg spasms, you understand the suffering this condition causes. The conditions may result from strenuous activities like excessive exercise, repetitive sports, and poor posture.
Strained or pulled muscles are experienced when you strain tissues or suffer a tendon injury. To find out the best way to treat back muscle strain, you could check with your local clinic or, better yet, book a doctor’s appointment to rule out any other health problems.
Many people tend to ignore this condition. However, it is always better to check with chiropractors to get a professional diagnosis based on your unique circumstances.
This is because some causes of severe lower back and hip pain are a result of hidden health deficiencies. Obesity, hormones, arthritis, and other extreme conditions such as peripheral arterial disease could cause this pain.
Various tests are run to assess chronic back pain differential diagnosis to identify these illnesses early on and administer the proper treatment. Inflammation, infection, joint injuries, pregnancy, and disc disease fall under the differential category.
In the first ever nationally-representative study of its kind, a recent survey has found that, despite our differences, Americans agree on one thing: chiropractic care really does work.
According to Gallup, the Palmer College of Chiropractic was commissioned to survey over 5,000 U.S. adults to discover the general public’s view of chiropractic care.
They found that 38% of those surveyed “somewhat agree” that chiropractic care is effective in treating neck and back pain, while 23% said that they “strongly agree” with the statement.
Chiropractic care is the treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal health, aiming to positively affect overall health and well-being, relieve pain, and improve quality of life without drugs or surgery.
According to the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), approximately eight out of 10 people will suffer from back pain at some point in their lives.
The findings support the claims of chiropractors everywhere that their non-invasive treatments should be the first option for those suffering from neck and upper back pain.
The authors of the study hope that more people will opt for chiropractic treatment because of the positive response from those surveyed. Chiropractors strongly advise against ignoring pain as it can lead to severe, long-term complications.
The study also found that more than 10% of adults in the U.S. have seen a chiropractor in the last 12 months, and more than 20% say that a chiropractor would be their “first choice” if they ever experienced back or neck pain.
The Palmer College of Chiropractic is the large college of chiropractics in the world. They implemented random-digit-dial phone interviews in addition to address-based sampling methods to find qualified panel members for the study.
